Disney’s new ship is already partly complete… but it’s not the one you’re thinking of. In addition to new ships Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line have added another cruise ship to their expanding fleet. The joy of a Disney Cruise Line holiday will soon be available in new global locations thanks securing a deal for the cruise ship formerly known as the Global Dream. The ship will be finished in Wismar, Germany, by Disney and the prestigious Meyer Werft shipbuilding business. The ship will be given a new name and have some of its features redesigned by the world-famous Walt Disney Imagineers. It is scheduled to sail in 2025.
The new ship will offer cutting-edge Disney experiences in addition to the spectacular entertainment, top-notch dining, and renowned guest service that distinguish Disney Cruise Line. The exterior will be painted in the fleet’s recognisable colours inspired by Mickey Mouse, replete with their signature red funnels.
It is anticipated that the 208,000-gross-ton ship will be among the first in the cruise industry to run on green methanol, one of the lowest emission fuels available.
With about 2,300 staff members, Disney Cruise Line anticipates a capacity of about 6,000 passengers.
More details about the maiden voyage, itineraries and onboard experiences will be announced at a later date.
