Launched December 2018, Nieuw Statendam carries forward the nautical heritage, signature service and classic style for which Holland America Line is known—while raising the bar for 21st-century elegance. Sister ship to Koningsdam, she’s the second of our Pinnacle-class ships.
The World Stage
Breaking from the line’s traditionally styled theatres, the World Stage is a flexible space that can have multiple stage configurations, ranging from in-the-round to the more conventional proscenium staging. The theatre will initially host five new productions performed in repertory by a cast sourced from around the world. Entertainment meets innovation with a new main theatre design that surrounds the audience with a 270-degree LED screen.

Pinnacle Suite
Generously proportioned and filled with light, these elegant suites include a living room, dining room, pantry with microwave and refrigerator, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a private verandah with whirlpool. The bedroom features a king-size bed—our Signature Mariner’s Dream™ bed with plush Euro-Top mattresses, and the bath includes an oversize whirlpool bath and shower as well as an additional shower stall. Gratuities: The HAL crew works very hard to make sure that every aspect of your cruise meets the highest standards. This includes those crew members who serve you directly, such as Dining Room wait staff and the stewards who service your stateroom each day.
