A typical day combines laid-back sailing with guided discovery. You’ll enjoy breakfast on board before a morning swim stop in a peaceful bay. After lunch, the yacht docks in a new destination where you can join a guided tour or explore at your own pace. Evenings are spent in port, so you can wander ashore, dine locally or simply relax under the stars.
Each Riviera yacht carries around 40 guests, giving it a warm, friendly feel without ever feeling crowded. A professional crew, typically seven strong, handles everything from navigation to housekeeping and food service. You’ll also be looked after by an expert Riviera Tour Manager and Cruise Director, making sure every detail of your trip runs smoothly.
These cruises are best suited to guests who are mobile and steady on their feet. You may need to cross between moored yachts or step onto uneven harbours, and many of the historic towns visited include cobbles, slopes and narrow alleys. Unfortunately, lifts and wheelchair access are not available on board due to the small ship design.
Absolutely. You’re free to head ashore as soon as the yacht is moored. Riviera offers guided tours in each destination, but they’re entirely optional. Whether you fancy a local coffee, want to browse shops or just enjoy the scenery, you can explore on your own schedule. The yacht stays in port overnight, giving you plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere.
A lot! Your price covers return flights, overseas transfers, accommodation in a comfortable en-suite cabin, full-board dining, all port taxes and expert-guided tours in each destination. There’s also free Wi-Fi and access to swim stops. Drinks and tips are sometimes included, depending on the itinerary – full details are always listed before you book.
It’s a relaxed, informal affair. Daytime is all about comfort – think shorts, sundresses and swimwear. Evenings are smart-casual; no need for ties or cocktail dresses. Pack soft luggage if you can, as storage is compact, and bring a jumper or light jacket for breezy evenings on deck. Walking shoes are essential for cobbled towns and sightseeing.
Yes, but with a few rules. Children aged 12 and up can sail when travelling with a responsible adult aged 21 or over. These cruises are geared more towards adults, so there are no kids’ clubs or entertainment onboard. As swimming in open water is common, younger guests should be confident in the sea to get the most out of the experience.
