G Expedition Camping and Kayaking Experiences
What sets G Expedition apart is its focus on immersive, ground-level exploration that brings guests closer to polar environments in the most direct way possible. Rather than aerial access, the emphasis is on hands-on adventure that deepens your connection to the landscape.

Camping in Antarctica
For those seeking a truly unforgettable experience, selected voyages offer the opportunity to camp overnight on the Antarctic ice. Sleeping ashore allows guests to experience the sounds, light and stillness of the polar environment long after the ship has departed. All specialist equipment is provided, with the focus firmly on safety, comfort and minimal environmental impact.
These optional adventures reflect G Adventures’ expedition ethos - authentic, immersive and responsibly led - creating moments that go far beyond traditional sightseeing and remain with travellers long after the journey ends.

Kayaking in Polar Regions
Kayaking offers one of the most intimate ways to experience the polar wilderness. Gliding quietly through icy waters, guests can explore along coastlines, icebergs and glaciers at water level, often encountering wildlife from a completely different perspective. Kayaking excursions are led by experienced guides and are weather and ice dependent, allowing for flexible, safe exploration when conditions are right.
Suites & Staterooms
Accommodation onboard G Expedition is designed to be practical, comfortable, and perfectly suited to expedition travel. After full days ashore exploring polar landscapes or remote coastlines, cabins provide a warm, quiet retreat where guests can rest, recharge, and watch the scenery drift by.
All 70 cabins feature lower beds, private ensuite bathrooms, individual temperature controls, and outside views through either portholes or windows. While the focus is firmly on exploration rather than luxury, cabins are thoughtfully laid out to maximise space and comfort in a small-ship environment.
