As one of the largest cruise ships in the P&O Cruises fleet, there’s always something happening on Ventura. She has a number of exciting features that are exclusively hers, along with 12 places to dine, 11 places to socialise (including four deck bars), an incredible choice of facilities – such as a sports court, spa, lavish two-tier theatre – and much more. Guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to onboard fun.
Ventura is a highly entertaining cruise ship. She has two lounges for cabaret, tributes, comedy, dancing, and even Metropolis – an amazing bar with a panoramic video wall brought to life by a different city skyline each evening.
Whether you prefer the classic stylings of the two-tier Arena theatre, the opulent setting of the Tamarind Club, or the Cuban vibe in Havana lounge, Ventura’s onboard entertainment venues offer something for everyone. To make your nights out that much more special, the Arena theatre, which also doubles as a cinema, has been upgraded with a brand new LED wall installation, similar to the ones found on Britannia and Azura. The sound and lighting desk have also had a revamp.
Ventura has great sports facilities as well, including a well-equipped gym and spa, a large sports court and four pools (one with a retractable roof). In fact, a Ventura cruise is very family-friendly. In addition to fantastic children’s clubs and a play area for under twos, Noddy and Mr. Bump from the Mr. Men Show are regular visitors.
Shopping is a popular pastime on any holiday, and whether you’re treating yourself to a luxurious new watch, handbag or fragrance or stocking up on travel essentials, Ventura onboard shops are the perfect place to do it. Dufry, the world’s leading travel retailer, is a new partner on Ventura. Bric’s, Longines, Olivia Burton, and Liu Jo will also be sitting alongside popular brands such as Radley, Cath Kidston, and Kipling.
Ventura does cruise dining right. Whatever your tastes, there’s a menu and venue for every mood and time of day. Ventura’s signature restaurant is The White Room by none other than Marco Pierre White himself. But there are also 11 other restaurants to tempt you including a tapas bar, and a stunning Asian restaurant. You have a choice of Club Dining – the same table at the same time each evening, or Freedom Dining – no fixed seating or dining times. There is even a 24-hour buffet restaurant so the only routines you need to keep are your own.
Dress up or dress down, a gastronomically decadent five-course meal in a chic setting or a freshly-made light snack while sunbathing by the pool, you are free to take your pick. If you want your little ones to join you, an early children’s tea will also serve up some tasty treats for another great way to enjoy time together!
